Welcome to Behold Aesthetics and Wellness Center! I am Adrian M. Nowitzke, CRNA, MSN, APRN, the proud owner and founder of our center. Born and raised in Effingham County, I currently reside here with my husband, Shawn, and our three wonderful children: Jordon, Conner, and our daughter Adilynn. As a family, we cherish our time outdoors, enjoying activities like boating on Lake Shelbyville and Lake Centralia.

With over 11 years of experience in anesthesia and a background as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), I have dedicated my career to providing exceptional patient care. Since becoming a Registered Nurse in 2007, I have honed my skills in precision and patient assessment. For the past four years, I have applied this expertise to aesthetic procedures, ensuring meticulous attention to detail in every treatment.

At Behold Aesthetics and Wellness Center, we believe in a holistic approach to each patient. Our commitment to helping clients look and feel their best is reflected in our cutting-edge services, which include a full range of medical spa and wellness treatments such as neurotoxins, dermal fillers, skin resurfacing, lasers, weight wellness injections, and PRP regenerative medicine services. I take pride in delivering personalized consultations and custom facial mapping experiences that yield outstanding results.

ANA MEYER

Tell us about yourself.

Hi, I’m Ana! I’m a Registered Nurse with 13 years of experience as a surgical nurse and nearly 4 years in aesthetics. I currently serve as the Advanced Aesthetic Nurse & Medical Staff Manager at Behold Aesthetics, where I get to combine patient care with leadership and education.

I love helping women feel confident and comfortable in their own skin by creating natural-looking results that enhance—not change—who they are. Education is a big part of my approach. I always take the time to explain why we recommend certain treatments so my patients feel informed, confident, and involved in their care.

When I’m not at work, you’ll usually find me outside, keeping up with my kids’ busy schedules, or traveling with my husband and kids whenever we get the chance. I truly enjoy building relationships with my patients and helping them feel their best, both inside and out.

What is your area of specialty/favorite area(s) of interest /treatment and why?

I’ve always been interested in skincare, treatments, and the science behind it all. I’ve had treatments done in the past and absolutely loved everything about them, so it was a really easy decision to join the Behold team and be able to provide those same treatments to others. My favorite treatment (right now because it will probably change) would be our microneedling treatments. I have loved seeing the improvement in our patient’s skin after a series of treatments and the joy of good results makes me so happy! 

What do you enjoy most about your career/specialty?

What I enjoy most about nursing is the ability to help someone feel better, to be a “Day-maker”. Whether that be providing treatment before or after a surgical procedure, holding someone’s hand that needs to be comforted, or providing an aesthetic treatment that changes the way someone feels. I truly feel nursing was my calling to be a person someone can count on and to be someone that can make their day better.

What’s your favorite thing about being part of the Behold team?

I love our Team! I’m so blessed to be surrounded by a wonderful group of caring and compassionate women. We all work so well together to provide the best treatment to all our patients. It really is a team effort, and it is so nice to be able to work with a team that all have our patient’s best interests at heart. 

It’s so much more than aesthetics at Behold. We love to know who you are and what makes your life full. Our patients are like family. It’s like a family reunion when you come back! 

Tell us a bit more about your personal life and interests.

My husband Mike and I have 3 wonderful children (Addison, Kason, and Emmy) and 2 sweet pups (Sadie and Millie) We have lived in the Teutopolis area since we were babies and are thankful to be able to raise our children in this community too. We love spending time outdoors, jeep rides, and having drinks around a fire. We are currently in a very busy stage of life with our kids/sports, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

BRITTANY WERMERT

Tell us about yourself.

I have 17 years nursing experience in Women's Health and Wellness in the inpatient and outpatient settings.

What is your area of specialty/favorite area(s) of interest /treatment and why?

The ToxBooster Treatment is just one of my many favorite treatments Behold offers. The results are absolutely stunning. Wrinkle relaxers combined with the VI Peel improves your fine lines, makes your skin glow, tightens and tones, and helps improve pigmentation and acne/scars. Such a great combination!

What do you enjoy most about your career/specialty?

I really enjoy getting to know my patients and finding a treatment plan that works best for their needs. Finding time for self care is never easy and I feel so blessed that our patients choose Behold and put their trust in us to help guide them through their aesthetic and wellness journey.

What’s your favorite thing about being part of the Behold team?
Our team. We value each other and the personality and expertise each person brings to the table. We laugh a lot and are compassionate about the care we give. We take pride in our education, making sure we are practicing as safely and effectively as possible.

Tell us a bit more about your personal life and interests.

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, planting flowers, shopping, learning, being outside, and rooting on The Wooden Shoes, Green Bay Packers, and St. Louis Cardinals.

Dee-Dee Thompson

Tell us about yourself.

I've been a practicing PA-C in primary care for 3 years. I have been in the medical aesthetics world for about 18 months.

What is your area of specialty/favorite area(s) of interest/treatment and why?

Radiesse is one of my favorite products to use. Gives you the luxury of both a biostimulator and filler for stunning results! The confidence it gives patients is incredible. 

What do you enjoy most about your career/specialty?

The relationships I get to create with my patients! I love to know more about their lives, their interests, and what is most important to them. This helps me guide treatment plans! 

What's your favorite thing about being part of the Behold team?

Our team! Being around an uplifting and positive team daily really makes work not feel like work! It makes all the difference.

Tell us a bit more about your personal life and interests.

Family is everything to me! My husband and I are foster parents and have been for 4 years now. We recently adopted 3 children and continue to foster as well. In my free time, you will find me spending time with my family and soaking in my greatest joy, being a mom!

Madison Wall

Tell us about yourself.

Hi, I’m Madison! I’ve been a registered nurse for the past four years, following two years of experience as a licensed practical nurse. Throughout my career, I’ve gained experience in PACU, acute care, and long-term care nursing. I’m incredibly grateful to continue my nursing journey at Behold Aesthetics & Wellness Center, where I have the opportunity to expand my skills while diving deeper into whole-body wellness.

I’ve always been passionate about holistic health and helping people achieve wellness from the inside out. I’m excited to continue growing in this passion by pursuing my Certified Christian Health Practitioner certification through The School of Christian Health & Nutrition, beginning in Fall 2026 and completing the program in August 2027.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me taking my Bernedoodle, Freddy, on long walks or spending quality time with my family and friends. Building meaningful relationships is something I deeply value, and it’s a mindset I bring into every interaction with my patients.

What is your area of specialty/favorite area(s) of interest/treatment and why?

I’ve always been drawn to whole-body wellness and finding the root cause of a person’s health concerns rather than simply treating individual symptoms. Since joining Behold, I’ve loved working alongside our team to help men and women through comprehensive lab work and specialty testing that provides answers and creates personalized treatment plans.

I’m also excited about our aesthetic services, including laser treatments and microneedling. I look forward to continuing my training and building my expertise so I can confidently offer these services and more to my own patients.

What do you enjoy most about your career/specialty?

What I love most about being a nurse is the opportunity to bring comfort and peace to those around me. I strive to create a calm, welcoming environment where every patient feels heard, valued, and at ease during their treatments and consultations. My goal is to make each person feel genuinely cared for, not only through the care I provide but through the relationships that are built. I believe that being a light to others is one of the greatest privileges of nursing, and serving my patients in that way is one of the most rewarding blessings of my career.

What's your favorite thing about being part of the Behold team?

I truly love being part of the Behold team. From day one, these incredible women welcomed me with open arms and have continually invested in my growth. Their encouragement and kindness have been a blessing. Having a team that genuinely supports one another is something special, and I’m so thankful to be part of it.

Tell us a bit more about your personal life and interests.

I’m a dog mom to my one year old Bernedoodle, Freddy. I recently relocated from Sullivan, IL to Effingham and have been enjoying settling into my new home and exploring the community.

When I’m not at work, I love spending as much time outdoors as possible—especially if there’s sunshine involved! I’m also an old soul at heart, so you’ll frequently find me wandering through antique stores or local shops looking for unique treasures.

RHONDA STROBEL

Tell us about yourself.

I am a registered nurse with five years of experience in emergency medicine, bariatric wellness, and patient education. Before nursing, I spent nearly 20 years in HR, where I discovered how much I enjoy teaching, guiding, and connecting with people — something that has carried into every step of my nursing career.My goal has always been to help people become the healthiest version of themselves. Working in the ER taught me to think quickly, communicate clearly, and meet patients exactly where they are in their journey. As I work toward my Doctor of Nursing Practice – Family Nurse Practitioner degree (graduating May 2026), I’m excited to continue blending my clinical background with a preventive, wellness-focused approach here at Behold.

What is your area of specialty/favorite area(s) of interest/treatment and why?

I’m especially passionate about functional wellness, including hormone optimization (BHRT), testosterone therapy, and medically guided weight management. I love empowering patients with education — helping them understand why they feel the way they do and partnering with them to find a path toward balance, energy, and confidence.Aesthetically, I personally enjoy treatments that enhance natural radiance and support healthy aging. Neurotoxins paired with gentle chemical peels are among my favorite combinations for restoring glow, refining texture, and boosting confidence.

What do you enjoy most about your career/specialty?

I love building relationships with patients and helping them make sense of their symptoms, goals, and treatment options. Education is the foundation of everything I do — whether in the ER or in wellness care, I’ve always believed that when people understand their health, they can transform it.Watching patients regain confidence, energy, and a renewed sense of self is what makes this work so rewarding.

What’s your favorite thing about being part of the Behold team?

The atmosphere at Behold is truly special. The team values education, safety, collaboration, and compassion. We support one another, learn from one another, and genuinely enjoy the work we do. It’s a place where clinical excellence and human connection come together — with laughter woven in between. This team greets each other with their heart just like they greet their patients.

Tell us a bit more about your personal life and interests.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband, our family, and our animals. I’m a homebody at heart and enjoy relaxing, reading, being outside, and watching football or basketball, both professional and college. I look forward to graduating in 2026 and having more time to rediscover old hobbies and explore new ones.I believe strongly in creating a life filled with balance, joy, and meaningful moments — the same things I hope to help my patients experience.

MARISSA GUNN

Tell Us About Yourself

Marissa Gunn/ I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since February of 2019 and a Licensed Esthetician since September of 2022. I graduated from the Lake Land College Massage Therapy program in December of 2018 and the Esthetician program in August of 2022. My training has given me a strong foundation in therapeutic bodywork and skincare, and I am passionate about helping others feel their best.

What is your area of specialty/favorite area(s) of interest/treatment and why?

I specialize in therapeutic massage and customized skincare treatments. I love combining different modalities, such as relaxation massage, deep tissue techniques, cupping, and hot stones to help my clients reach their wellness goals. I also focus on addressing specific concerns and providing skincare treatments tailored to their individual needs. I love these specialties because they allow me to make a meaningful difference in my clients' well-being and confidence.

What do you enjoy most about your career/specialty?

I enjoy connecting with my clients and seeing the positive impact my work has on their lives. Whether it's relieving stress, improving mobility, or boosting someone's self-confidence, it's incredibly rewarding to help people feel better inside and out. 

What’s your favorite thing about being part of the Behold team?

I'm excited to join the Behold team because of the supportive and uplifting environment they've created. Everyone shares a passion for providing exceptional care for our clients.

Tell Us a bit more about your personal life and interests

I enjoy spending time with my husband Broc, my stepdaughter Addy, and our two pets-our dog Bruno and our cat Louie.I am also an assistant coach for the Effingham High School basketball cheerleading team. In my free time, I enjoy staying active, exploring nature, and working on creative projects. 

GLORIA KRAMER

Tell us about yourself.

I bring over 25 years of customer service experience, along with years of leadership and practice management in healthcare. I’ve loved helping teams grow, supporting providers, and creating welcoming experiences for patients. On the personal side, I have grown children and grandkids close by here in the Effingham area, and spending time with them is one of my greatest joys.

What is your area of specialty/favorite area(s) of interests/treatment and why?

For me, it’s all about the “feel good” energy. Patients come in excited, leave even happier, and are already planning their next treatment. It’s such a fun environment to be part of. My favorite treatments are HydraFacials and lasers. If you want big results, I’m all in on lasers.

What do you enjoy most about your career/specialty?

Making patients feel comfortable is always my top priority. I also enjoy stepping in wherever I’m needed to help lighten the load, whether for patients or the team. It’s rewarding to know I can make a difference in someone’s day, big or small.

What’s your favorite thing about being part of the Behold team?

The teamwork here is amazing. Everyone pitches in, supports each other, and brings positive energy to the office. I’ve also loved learning more about skincare and overall health. Seeing the fun our team has together reminds me how lucky I am to be part of Behold.

Tell us a bit more about your personal life and interests.

I’m a summer and sunshine kind of person, happiest when I’m near the water or at the beach with family and friends. (And yes, I never forget my Alastin SPF, my sun protection bestie!) I also enjoy tending to our flowers and plants, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, and baking for family. Lately, I’ve been attempting to pick up golf. My husband’s the golfer, and I’m the one keeping things lighthearted on the course. Joining the aesthetic world has been a longtime dream, and it’s exciting to finally be part of it here at Behold.

TERESA MCCLOY

Tell us about yourself.

I have 15 years of experience as a Business Coach working with small business owners and leaders helping them to grow thriving and sustainable businesses. 

What is your area of specialty/favorite area(s) of interest /treatment and why?

As a client of Behold since it began I l enjoy all the relaxing facials and self care treatments but my newest favorite is the Health and Wellness Programs. As someone who is diganosed with Hashimotos and Hormone Issues this program has been a game changer for me personally. 

What do you enjoy most about your career/specialty?

I have enjoyed working with this team for almost 4 years and watching this team grow both personally and professionally. It's also a joy watching the experience of our clients as they experience the professional level of treatment BEHOLD Provides and gain confidence from the inside out. 

What’s your favorite thing about being part of the Behold team?

The team takes pride in educating themselves and passing that education along to their clients while supporting one another and I love being in that atmosphere of continual growth

Tell us a bit more about your personal life and interests.

We live on a 4th generation family grain farm and I enjoy spending time with my family especially my grandson Wesley.  I love to work in my flower gardens and also having a great cup of coffee with a friend.  The next travel adventure is always on my radar both personally and professionally. 

AMANDA SETTLE

Tell us about yourself.

I am a Registered and Licensed Dietitian with Nutrition Wise, a private practice in Effingham, Illinois. I was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma where, through pursuing a career as a ballet dancer, discovered my love for science and nutrition. I attended the University of Oklahoma where I studied Nutrition and Dietetics and earned a Bachelor of Science degree and completed my internship.

I have worked for several hospitals across Oklahoma, Missouri, and Illinois including St. Francis Health System, Barnes Jewish Hospital, and Memorial Medical Center. I moved to Effingham, Illinois in 2017 and worked as a dietitian for the Department of Veterans Affairs. In 2018, my former business partner, Lindsey Purcell, and myself started the private practice, Nutrition Wise. I now have the opportunity to serve my local clients in person as well as provide nutrition coaching virtually in other locations.  In the summer of 2022, I completed training for healthcare professionals for the Low FODMAP Diet for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) from Monash University. I enjoy helping individuals and families create a mealtime strategy that fits their lifestyle, treating their health challenges, and becoming the healthiest version of themselves. This year, I am serving as the official Dietitian/Nutritionist for the Tulsa Ballet. I currently live in Effingham, Illinois with my two boys Jackson and Wesley (who love to race dirt bikes), and two cats, Kylo and Vader.

Emily Willenborg

Tell us about yourself.

I grew up in the Newton area and moved to Teutopolis in 2007. I graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and have over 20 years of customer service experience. I started with the Behold team in May and have really enjoyed getting to know everyone and being part of the team.

What is your area of specialty/favorite area(s) of interest /treatment and why?

My favorite area of interest is patient care and customer service. Working at the front desk gives me the opportunity to help patients feel welcomed, comfortable, and cared for from the moment they arrive. I enjoy making their experience as smooth and positive as possible while supporting our team behind the scenes.

What do you enjoy most about your career/specialty?

What I enjoy most about working at the front desk is being one of the first people patients see and having the opportunity to make them feel welcome and comfortable. I enjoy helping people, staying organized, and being part of a team that makes a difference in their experience. I also love the variety each day brings and getting to know the patients and people I work with.

What’s your favorite thing about being part of the Behold team?

My favorite thing about being part of the Behold team is the people. I love being surrounded by a supportive team that works together, encourages each other, and makes coming to work enjoyable. I also appreciate being part of something where everyone brings their own strengths and contributes to the bigger picture.

Tell us a bit more about your personal life and interests.

I love spending time with my husband Tim, and our three daughters, Josie, Ella, and Anna. My family means the world to me, and I love spending time together and cheering my girls on at their sporting activities. I try not to take life too seriously and believe in finding the humor in things and making people smile whenever I can. When I’m not busy with family or work, I enjoy relaxing outside with a glass of wine and enjoying the little things in life. I’m all about making memories, having fun, and enjoying the people I love most!

Jacquie Alldredge

Tell us about yourself.

I’m Jacquie, and I’m currently in nursing school and working toward my goal of becoming an aesthetic nurse. I’ve always had a passion for the beauty and wellness industry, and I love being in an environment where I can connect with clients and continue learning every day.

What is your area of specialty/favorite area(s) of interest /treatment and why?

I’m especially interested in overall well-being and relaxing facial treatments. I love how facials not only improve skin health but also give clients a chance to unwind and feel refreshed. I’m excited to continue learning more about all of the services offered and how they can enhance natural beauty.

What do you enjoy most about your career/specialty?

What I enjoy most is being part of a team that helps people feel confident and cared for. Even at the front desk, I love creating a welcoming experience and helping clients feel comfortable from the moment they walk in.

What’s your favorite thing about being part of the Behold team?

My favorite thing about being part of the Behold team is being one of the first faces clients see when they walk through the door. I love creating a welcoming experience, getting to know our clients, and working with such an amazing team.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my boyfriend, Kendall along with my dog Hazel and family and friends. I also love shopping, spending time outside, and keeping busy. Whether it’s doing something new, attending events, or just enjoying quality time with the people I care about, I always like having something fun planned!
